Joining VL chat from your desktop - Windows
Start by downloading and installing the latest version of X-Chat.

When you first open X-Chat, you'll be presented with this screen:
Fill in your nickname and tick the "Skip network list on startup" box. Next highlight "DALnet" in the network list box and hit "Edit".You'll be presented with this screen:
Make sure that "Auto connect to this network at startup" is ticked, and add "#veryliberating" to your favorite channels and hit close. Then hit connect. If all goes well you'll see this:
